Physical Therapy

your {solution} for aches, pains, and injury

This is not your typical PT session.

At mvmt·ology, you’re more than just a body part. Our holistic and individualized approach to care is centered around understanding the full picture of your well-being and designing a program that is tailored to help you reach your goals. You’ll receive education about your body mechanics, a home program specifically designed for you, strategies for injury prevention and long term health based on your current status.

What Should I Expect?

The Evaluation: Your appointment will begin by discussing the particular area of concern, symptoms and pain, medial history, and your personal goals for physical therapy.

A holistic, full-body assessment will follow the discussion and may include: postural assessment, functional movement assessment, thorough musculoskeletal assessment including range of motion and strength testing, and neurological screening.

We believe that education is empowering and we’ll spend time walking you through what the findings of your evaluation mean, crafting a treatment plan tailored to meet your goals, and answering any questions you may have. We’ll leave time at the end of the session to start your plan of care so you walk away with actionable steps from day one.

The Treatment: Let’s progress that plan of care! With each treatment session, you will continue to be seen one-on-one by your PT who may begin by asking about your symptom updates and if you have any questions about your home exercise program.

Then you’ll dive into motion. Your treatment session may include: manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercise, and neuromuscular re-education. We place a strong emphasize on movement education and reorganization and you may be introduced to Pilates apparatus including the reformer, tower, and chair.
